Police appeal: 15-year-old boy assaulted and robbed by gang of masked men in Swindon

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was assaulted by a gang of masked men who then stole his mobile phone.

The incident happened on Sunday 30th March 2014 in Swindon.

The 15-year-old boy was walking along an alleyway between Dorcan School and the Patheon building just before 6:00 pm. 

He saw a group of approximately 10 young men at the rear of Dorcan Leisure Centre. As he passed the group he was grabbed from behind. He was assaulted and his iphone was stolen.

The main suspect is described as a mixed race male, aged around 19 years. He was approximately 5ft 6 tall and of broad build.  He was wearing grey baggy tracksuit bottoms, white Air Max trainers, with a black Adidas hooded top with two white stripes going down the arms.

He was also wearing a black ‘morph’ style mask which covered his face. 

Other members of the group were also wearing these masks in different colours.

The victim did not sustain any serious injury but was shaken by the incident.
